At the first glance it looked very outworn, nothing like from the pictures. The tray with cups was broken, the corner of the wall panel was peeling off, light control broken and not working. So whether all lights (hall and room) turned on at the same time with full brightness or nothing. I told the staff, they said the maintenance will come fix it, but no one came of fixed it and the staff did not say anything. And there was no bed light. The bed was very old school, the one that rises to the wall, so you had this gap between your head and the wall, which made it terribly uncomfortable to sit and read, o watch TV, or whatever. I was surprised they had this kind of bed, since in all pictures of the hotel beds seemed to be normal and new. The gap was stuffed with pillows, so it was a bit unaesthetic. The bed was also squeaking. After you flush the toilet, the squealing sound appeared, which was annoying at night. Also it was a bit dry in the room, and there was no possibility to open the window. What was good about the hotel, the staff was very nice in general. Reservation went well. Breakfast was nice with the wide selection. They had sauna for the extra price. The location was good.

…make for a great stay with a lovely ambience while having breakfast and a free use in the nude as a couple of the sauna. I highly recommend this hotel. It is located in a quiet location with easy access to the number seven (7) tram line. However, it is close enough to the city center on foot. In no time, we found ourselves in the heart of Helsinki during our morning walk around the neighborhood. And for those who need quick access to the Port of Helsinki, it’s a quick walk as well in the other direction.

We stayed here for just a one night but the experience was great. Our room rate seemed relatively average for Helsinki, but it came with breakfast in the morning and it was only about a 15 minute walk from the train station. Our room was quite compact (standard european sizing) which isn't a problem for us, but we did have 1 large bag which was a bit tough to find space for. The bathroom was nice and wifi was strong. The bed was comfy and featured a motorized system that allowed you to adjust the leg and head position. Definitely helpful in a small room where there isn't any extra space, so helped for watching tv. Definitely a quiet location, did not hear any noise from the street or from within the hotel. Would recommend if you can find a good price and don't have too much luggage.

Nice hotel with art displays and interesting interior design. Located near Stockmann shopping mall and Hard Rock Cafe for fans. There's many cusines - Japanese, Indian, Thai, local and fast food like McDonald's and Burger King. Walking distance to Senate Square and Helsinki Cathedral

very old building structure renovated with great detail and authentic touch. Quite place but still in city center. Good for small conference and sightseeing tours. Breakfast is extensive and good. All is clean and kept in good shape. Bar and furniture in lobby is very comfy and let's you enjoy your stay even more.
