GLO Hotel Kluuvi

Let's start with positive things: - booked smart room but nor sure if they upgraded us to comfort room(?) because room was fairly spacious which is always good thing - centrally located - friendly receptionist upon check-in, upon check-out out they could have asked how was the stay (small customer service tip for the future) Negative: - due to corona, breakfast service was divided into 6 different time bookings - we choose the latest breakfast service. It would have been nice that since it's weekend, instead of 30min breakfast slot, it would have been 45-60min for example so you don't have to urge since it was quite busy. You can't enjoy 30min hotel breakfast much. Not sure was it because of last slot, they didn't want to bring more food - food were running out, morning without coffee! And it took kitchen staff quite slowly to add more food - that was not enjoyable! Because breakfast ended at 11.30 - that was literally what it means, kitchen staff turned off all the heatings and started to clear the food right on the dot - feel like I was in army breakfast, had to fight for food and not be able to enjoy it. Very disappointed with the experience. - room was not very clean, was not comfortable walk bare foot because the floor was not very well clean. Toilet and surface could have done some more thorough wipe. - would have been nice if upon checking-in, receptionist tell hotel amenities etc. Over all, the experience in Glo Kluuvi hotel was fine, could have been better - not sure if I would stay here again on my next weekend getaway but if you don't mind military breakfast service and location is all what is matter then this hotel can offer you that.

Glo Hotel is conveniently located at Terminal 2, Helsinki Airport. It was a smart decision to stay there before departing at 6 AM to board my 8 AM flight to the USA. . The super-efficient receptionist, Johanna, not only suggested that we check our bags at the Finnair counter that evening (Feb14), but she actually showed us how to get to "Departures." She made sure our room was comfortable. (brought a space heater if we needed i)t We didn't. .. The room was clean and comfortable. I give Glo Hotel 5 stars and Johanna 10 stars!

This hotel is centrally located next to Helsinki’s historic main road Aleksanterinkatu. You can find many shops, cafes, restaurants, and sights nearby. We have stayed at this hotel many times. This time there was a good sale for Finnair Plus members. GLO Luxe room was 114 euros instead of the normal price of 185 euros. The sale rate was also flexible and included breakfast. We asked for a corner room and got it. These corner rooms have plenty of windows and much natural daylight coming in. The room decor is modern. The only complaint was the breakfast. There were too many items finished at 9:30 when the last breakfast slot started.

We have been spending a weekend in this hotel and I cannot honestly find one single thing to complain about. The position is super central in the heart of Helsinki, the rooms are clean, the personnel is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is very rich and delicious. We’ll be back!

After staying one night at the Hotel Kämp next door, it was easy to move to this hotel for two nights. There was a good offer: GLO Luxe room 125 euros per night including breakfast. The usual price is 200 euros or more. GLO Luxe rooms are spacious rooms (26m2). The room layout is very practical. The open bathroom is around the corner behind the wardrobes. The toilet is in a separate space behind a door. Because of the COVID pandemic, the breakfast was served in take-way paper bags fetched from the reception. The content was better than we had at Hotel Kämp.
